Kimberly Noel Kardashian aka Kim Kardashian was born on 21st October, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Kim is a popular American socialite, model, actress, celebrity ant TV personality. She is the daughter of OJ Simpson’s defense attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner. Her step-father is 1976 Olympic Games gold medalist, Bruce Jenner, father of Princes of Malibu star Brody Jenner. Kardashian has two sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, and one brother, Robert. She also has stepbrothers Burton Jenner, Brandon Jenner, and reality TV star Brody Jenner, stepsister Casey Jenner, and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Kim was from an affluent background and even got a car as her birthday gift on her sixteenth birthday. One of Kim Kardashian’s best friends are socialites Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie. She became a close pal with Paris Hilton at pre-school and their friendship has grown ever since. In 2000, when Kim was 20 years old, she married music producer Damon Thomas, 30, who works with the likes of Pink and Faith Evans. Their marriage ended in a messy divorce in 2004. In 2003, Kim’s father Robert Kardashian died of cancer in the esophagus.
Kardashian got her own reality series on E! named “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” which documents her career and family life, with sisters Kourtney and Khloe, momager Kris, and stepdad Bruce Jenner. Kardashian featured on the cover of Complex magazine’s February/March 2007 issue and went on to be Hugh Hefner’s Playboy magazine cover girl for December 2007. Ever in demand for fashion shoots and products, Kim was signed as the model and spokeswoman for Bongo jeans in 2008. Kardashian is also a model for Travis Barker’s “Famous Stars and Stripes” clothing line. Her first acting role was in the television series “Beyond the Break” after which she starred in the 2008 movie “Disaster Movie” as Lisa. Kardashian also appeared in an episode of How I Met Your Mother entitled “Benefits”. In 2008, she also appeared in the seventh season of popular reality show “Dancing with the Stars”. She also ppeared in the music video for Fall Out Boy’s 2007 single “Thnks for the Mmrs”.
Kim Kardashian owns a upscale Calabasas fashion boutique “Dash,” along with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe. On May 2, 2008, Kardashian released a workout DVD “Workout with Kim Kardashian” and a set of workout cards with the help of trainer Kathy Kaehler. In July 2008, Kardashian announced on her personal blog that she is working on her own perfume line to be released in 2009. In March 2009 Kardashian launched a shoe shopping service.
